The festival spreads over a period of 4 weeks in mid-August to mid-September, tickets at the cost of 15 to 145$. You can address ticketbox@lucernefestival.ch. It was founded in 1938 by Toscanini, and calls for dozens of renowned conductors and chamber ensambles. Concerts usually take place in the ultra-modern Culture and Convention center, on the banks of the story-like Lake Lucerne.
