Who should I address in Kandersteg for some guided trekking?(give a different answer) .
There's Fred Jacobson, a Swiss mountaineering guide that declared himself a "alpaholic". It's not difficult to find him in that small community that turned into an aristicratic summer destination in the 19th century. The guide can take you to the favoured targets: the limestone cliffs, crossed by broad valleys in the Appenzell or the more steep Kandersteg trail, with the promise of a Lake Oeschinen picnic. If come from US, address Alpine Travel at 800-291-8126 for some 10 to 14 day -hikes at the price of 1800$, including board and lodging, rail pass.
