Fasnacht is a three-day carnival that starts on the Monday after Ash Wedenesday. For 2007 this means 26 February. The whole thing starts at 4 am. It is the largest celebration of its kind in Switzerland. A beautiful show of parades, masks, music and elaborate costumes. Restaurants and bars stay open all night during this carnival.
